During this tour I will tell about the history and present of Saint-Petersburg. We'll go to a Russian Orthodox Church to look how are we praying, we'll try at the local farmer's market what's eating the townspeople and we'll see how many people use the metro (very ornate and one of the deepest subway). All this is not dangerous but very interesting! The program includes visits to the city pearls: the Isaac's Cathedral (the fourth largest Cathedral in the world), the Savior on the Blood Church (the second Church in the world so richly decorated with mosaics) and Peter and Paul Fortress (the birth place of the city and small Amsterdam).

This tour is for those who wants to see all the main attractions during his short visit. The program is planed on 2 days so that you can see all.

First day. I suggest to visit the Hermitage Museum (the largest and the most famous Museum in Russia) and make a sightseeing tour with inside visits of the Peter and Paul fortress and the Cathedral (the birth place of the city), St. Isaac's Cathedral (the fourth largest in Europe), Savior on the Blood Church (the second world Cathedral so richly decorated with mosaics).

Second day is very convenient to devote suburban journeys. I propose admire the Residence of fountains (invented by Peter the First) which is located in Peterhof, and then visit the splendid Catharine's Palace with the famous Amber room in Tsar's Village (the former summer Imperial residence).

As well, the Hermitage possesses one of the best collections of impressionists and post-impressionists, including paintings by Monet, Renoir, Matisse, and Picasso.

It is possible to visit the Treasure Galleries of the Hermitage (Gold and Diamond Rooms) and Storage Facility of the State Hermitage (The Repository of the Hermitage in Staraya Derevnya) but let me know in advance to book the additional tickets.
